Entry Level Data Analyst

Primary Purpose of Position:

• Net Atlantic is looking for a highly motivated entry level data scientist or engineer who is interested in solving challenging technical problems in a work environment. Typical activities include data collections, data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analysis, or Statistics, and strong analytical skills. 

Essential Functions:

• Parse and analyze data in logs and databases
• Review ongoing data streams, data sets, and identify trends and changes
• Develop plans and processes to deliver measured results in a systematic, measurable way
• Identify and formulate best practices, median performance, and various measurement yardsticks, levels and milestones for our client performance metrics
• Plan out a process and execute on a daily basis with an emphasis on delivering measured results
• Deliver valuable, actionable information and recommendations to help clients achieve their goals
• Learn quickly and adapt to changing needs and goals

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics, or comparable quantitative work experience
• Experience with R, SQL, Python or Excel
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Good communications skills
• Ability to work both in a teamwork environment and also independently

Other Skills Desired (but not necessarily mandatory):

• Prior real world data or systems analysis experience
• Experience in data collection, modeling and algorithm development
• Projects and case studies from academic work to draw upon
