August 4, 2009 - Email service provider Net Atlantic recognizes two local students with a $1,500 scholarship each.
SALEM, MASS. – Email service provider Net Atlantic's CEO met last week with two local college-bound students to award each a $1,500 scholarship. Recipients Casey Little and Lorjan Karagjozi, both Salem High School graduates are entering college in the fall for business.
Little was accepted to Salem State College where she will study business administration with the goal of becoming a certified public accountant (CPA). A friend of Little's heard of Net Atlantic's scholarship and recommended that she apply. Little comes from a family of accountants and Salem State graduates. She is excited to follow in her mother's and aunt's footsteps.
Karagjozi, a math enthusiast, will be attending UMass Amherst's Isenberg School of Management where he attended a summer program his junior year. As a career goal he would love to combine his love of business and soccer, serving as a business or general manager for a team.
"We are thrilled to recognize conscientious students like Casey and Lorjan that live in our community," said Net Atlantic CEO Andy Lutts. "As a local business, we want to encourage youth in our own neighborhoods to continue their studies." Net Atlantic will continue the scholarships annually, with a call for submissions each spring.
"Meeting these students and learning of their ambitions is inspiring," Lutts said. "We know they will succeed in college and in life."
